OSTÉOPATH PhD. DO.
INFORMATIONS / SESSIONS
An osteopathy session must always be performed with the patient's consent. This consent can be reviewed at any point during the consultation. All decisions are made jointly between the patient and the therapist.
The general framework begins with a medical history, an interview aimed at precisely understanding the reason for the consultation, the onset of the pain, as well as the patient's history and risk factors. Attention is also paid to the patient's perceptions and beliefs in order to best adapt the osteopathic intervention.
The osteopath then performs a clinical examination to determine, through observation and palpation, all the factors that may be related to the discomfort/pain experienced. The osteopath's analysis is complementary to the medical examination and is carried out in collaboration with other partners in your health.
After conducting a clinical assessment, the osteopath may perform manual techniques, at the patient's discretion, that respect physiology, with the aim of achieving better mobility throughout the body.
I attach particular importance to establishing a high-quality therapeutic alliance to optimize the success of care and patient compliance with the proposed treatment components.
The goal is to promote the patient's active health.
Specific advice will ultimately help optimize the therapeutic effect and prevent the onset of new pain.
